Digging Ean
We went out to the campsite where my parent’s were at and Ean went to town in his farmer role.

Last Friday, April headed out to a friend’s house so I got to stay home and play with the kids. What the video shows is Ean playing like he normally does and Ella chasing her big brother around and laughing at him as he plays.
We went up to my Aunt and Uncle’s Lake House this weekend to visit with family. It gave us a great visit (although rainy for a portion of it) as well as chance for the kids to play in and around the lake.
Here are some pictures from the visit:
Over the last couple of days, Ean’s pet anole, Widget has been not eating and has been hiding more than normal from the male anole in the tank. April said today that the male was being rough and her and I guess it was too much. Widget passed away today.
We had talked about death to Ean previously but today was the time that he actually saw it close up. It was pretty emotional to see a 3 year old cry because his lizard wasn’t going to be around any longer.
Here is a picture of Ean went he first got his anoles.

Placing Widget in her resting place:

Ean is doing ok, but it has made everyone a bit sad to for Widget and Ean.
After a couple weeks of punishment for us, and finger chewing and high pitch screaming from Ella her first tooth finally broke the skin today. She has actually been calmer since yesterday, but only the top piece had come through, but today it is visible.
To add to the comparisons between Ean and Ella – Ean got his first tooth about 7 months and Ella turns 6 months in a week.
Today, the family went down to the Three Rivers Festival in downtown Ft Wayne. The kids just love being outside and being with family only makes it better.
We saw many rides that Ean wouldn’t ride and April even took a ride on a helicopter, which itself is amazing.

There was some other awesome chalk art that a lot of people made in the streets. It was the first time that I had seen such a large number of street art.

Ella absolutely loves Ean. She will only laugh for him no matter what he does. If anyone else would have done this, she would have just looked at them. But of course, Ean spun her around and she laughed every time.
A bit late, but we ended up having a picnic today in honor of the 4th of July holiday. Lunch was good with cupcakes for the finale.
Ella absolutely loves being outside and will watch the trees move in the wind, will watch the birds fly around, watch the bees in the flowers and especially watch her brother play.
Ean had a great time riding down the slides although he wanted Grandpa and Grandma to go with him all of the time.
At the end of the day, both of the kids were in a great mood and even shared some of the love.
