Mothers Day 2010

For Mother’s day this year, we decided to keep it low key and have everyone over for dinner.

A simple meal turned out to be something more than we projected. April was making a homemade cheesecake when the propane ran out on our stove and she had to run to her Mom’s house to finish it up. We also had to make Chris cook the lasagna because our stove wouldn’t be filled until the next couple of days.

We finally got through the scare and had dinner, which turned out ok. Not what we planned, but we made do. After dinner was finished, we sat back and enjoyed some laughs watching “America’s Funniest Home Video”

Preschool Outdoor Day

Ean’s first year at preschool is starting to wind down and the weather is starting to participate. Ean’s teacher, Leslie, wanted to give the kids some different type of activities. The kids played with sidewalk chalk, a parachute, and water balloons. The kids really enjoyed their day outdoors.

Birthday Surpise

So as most of you may know Friday was my 40th birthday. Yes, I feel old at times, but I don’t think I’m falling apart anytime soon. I want to thank everyone for the cards, well-wishes, as well as the gifts.

I did however get a very nice gift for my birthday that is out of the ordinary. It was Star Wars pancake molds. April and I attempted to make good pancakes until we discovered that we really needed cooking spray to keep the pancakes from sticking.
