This past Friday night, Ella gave her first performance as a pianist. To make the occasion special for her and keep her mind off of the butterflies in her stomach, she dressed up and I tried to keep her busy with some pictures before we left to the recital. Yes, a good portion of these pictures, she had the sun in her eyes and blinded her.
Even though she was trying to play it cool, she was extremely nervous and you could see it in her eyes. She pretty much refused to eat anything for dinner and was very chatty on the way there. Once she was dropped off, we hoped for the best and were confident that she would do well.
As you can see in the video below, she did very well and her smile at the end said everything.
We are extremely proud of her hard work this year and her plans to continue her lessons.
