Happy Halloween!
Huh? What do you mean I’m a few months behind. Well yeah, silly me. I finally dumped the photos from the camera so there you go.

We are getting ready to begin our trek of the family holiday schedule, however we wanted to wish everyone that visits our site a safe and happy holidays!

After six years of having kids that absolutely hate being close to someone dressed up in costume, today was a total surprise for us. We were walking through the Food Court at Jefferson Pointe and passed by Santa Claus and his cottage. Ella ran directly up to him, bouncing the entire time and calling out “Santa Claus!!! Santa Claus!!”
We were so stunned as she jibber jabbered to Santa and he gave her a small candy cane. She was absolutely beaming, so we asked if she wanted to sit on his lap and get her picture taken with him. She ran back up to him hopping up and down until he put her on his lap. This shot was taken nearly after that and there was no prodding or begging to get her to smile.
Oh how Ella surprises me almost daily and I loved to watch the pure joy in her eyes as she ran around Santa Claus, his chair and checked out his tree with all of the presents everywerhe.
As I posted on Facebook the other day, I totally messed up recording Ean’s school program.
April couldn’t see Ean where she was recording, so she handed me the camcorder with the assumption that she had turned it off. I lined it up with Ean in the picture, but then promptly turned it off.
Use your imagination on how it would have looked, if I recorded the whole thing.
We wanted to wish you happy and safe Halloween.
We actually did our visiting and trick or treating on Friday and Saturday night. Since we are trying to keep the kids on a schedule, we wanted to stay home after 8.

America is another year older today. Jeez that makes me feel old for goodness sake. I still remember the bi-centennial quarter and that came out in 76.
Anyways, we spent last night at the Gerber’s for a day of sun, food and a very enjoyable spectacle of fireworks. The fireworks were a spectatular show and much better than alot of the smaller town fireworks that I have a seen over the last few years. Thanks to Jerry and Heather for inviting us and Happy Birthday United States!
For Mother’s day this year, we decided to keep it low key and have everyone over for dinner.
A simple meal turned out to be something more than we projected. April was making a homemade cheesecake when the propane ran out on our stove and she had to run to her Mom’s house to finish it up. We also had to make Chris cook the lasagna because our stove wouldn’t be filled until the next couple of days.
We finally got through the scare and had dinner, which turned out ok. Not what we planned, but we made do. After dinner was finished, we sat back and enjoyed some laughs watching “America’s Funniest Home Video”

Another holiday has creeped by us – the kids get plenty of candy and the grown ups start eating Peter Rabbit and the kids cry because they want eat the chocolate bunny’s head off. Ah, the candy cannibalism.
The kids are really starting to enjoy the hunt for eggs now. Ella undestands what she is doing and Ean has a hard time not taking her eggs. I just wish that it would be warmer around here around Easter so we could have a larger full scale easter egg hunt outside.
Enjoy the pictures. The kids all had fun.

With Ean being in preschool in the North Wells school district, we got our first taste of Spring Break this year.
Although, it was cold, we decided to head up to Chicago for a visit to Ikea and Legoland Discovery Center. Ean had a pretty good time, however Ella wasn’t really interested in being couped up some building as you can tell by the tears in her eyes in some of the pictures.
Once we got to open play area, Ella really started to enjoy herself. Ean says that his favorite parts were the 4D movies and the Dragon ride (which was similar to a carnival haunted house with the fright).
Here are some of the pictures of our trip in Legoland Discovery Center:

I know that I’m several weeks late, but April attended Ean’s preschool party for Valentines day. The kids had a blast playing games and eating cupcakes and cookies. They played with a parachute and silly races. Great fun by all!
Here is some pictures and a couple of video clips to show for you.
