First Day of Kindergarten

Today Ean started his first day of kindergarten and will be in school for a very long time! He was very nervous in the beginning but when the Mrs Kober came by to pick him up from the car riders, he was all calm and cool and waved bye to us.

No tears fell today as he started his educational career. However, when we got back to the car and put Ella in her car seat, she pointed at Ean’s side and said “Ean’s Chair” and sadness fell upon the car.

The poor guy was pooped when we picked him up. He pulled his normal routine of telling us he doesn’t remember what he did but we eventually work it out of him throughout the day.

Sounds like he had a good time and he is looking forward to going back tomorrow.

Here are some pictures of the major event today:

A Big Thank You!!

As the first day of school creeps closer for Ean to start kindergarten, April and I wanted to thank everyone that helped us get Ean ready for school this year. We appreciate the generosity of our family in helping us supply him with the things he needs for the upcoming school year.

Ean is very excited for school to begin more than likely because he is tired of hanging out with us all summer and he is ready to get back to his preschool friends as well as meeting new friends.

We will keep you updated how things go this year, but as parents we feel more comfortable getting ready for school knowing that everything he needs has already been taken care of and he can just concentrate on his schoolwork.

Once again, I would like to express our thanks to everyone that helped us get Ean ready for school this year!

Ean’s Last Day of Preschool

Ean is growing up. No matter what we do, nothing will stop it. On the final day of preschool, Ean had a play party where the afternoon preschool kids all got together in the gym (it was supposed to be at a part, however there were rain storms the night before).

It was a final farewell for all of the kids to have lunch and plenty of play for the last day of preschool.

Preschool Outdoor Day

Ean’s first year at preschool is starting to wind down and the weather is starting to participate. Ean’s teacher, Leslie, wanted to give the kids some different type of activities. The kids played with sidewalk chalk, a parachute, and water balloons. The kids really enjoyed their day outdoors.

Field Trip to the Library

Ean got a chance to go the Wells County Library during L week at pre-school. The kids got read some stories and watched a small movie. They were all impressed with the star ceiling as the lights went down.

The kids also got a tour of the library and saw all the cool things that Ean could do “if” we lived in the Wells County. We are about a half mile from the county line.

Too bad, the library was a pretty good one.

Valentines Day Party

I know that I’m several weeks late, but April attended Ean’s preschool party for Valentines day. The kids had a blast playing games and eating cupcakes and cookies. They played with a parachute and silly races. Great fun by all!

Here is some pictures and a couple of video clips to show for you.

Pizza Day Field Trip

Back in January, Ean’s preschool went to East of Chicago and made their own personal pan pizzas. The kids absolutely loved getting their hands dirty and decorating their own pizzas with sausage, pepperoni, and cheese.

Check out the pictures below for Ean and his friends.

Christian Care Preschool Visit

Ean’s preschool class made a trip to the Christian Care retirement community before Christmas to help spread some Christmas cheer and some of their excitement. The kids sang a couple of holiday tunes, handed out cookies that they helped decorate, and show off some of their favorite toys to the residents.

I was really surprised at how open Ean was in sharing and talking to the guests. He tends to shy away from the large crowd type of activities. Maybe he is growing up after all.

Winter Party

Ean had his Winter Party at school and had a blast doing it. The kids all exchanged gifts and even Miss Leslie gave some gifts to the kid.

The kids decorated cookies as well that they were going to hand out at the Christian Care Nursing home (video to come shortly) and they played several games.

Field Trip to Walmart Bakery

After the great adventure to the pumpkin patch, where could Lancaster preschool top that? The Walmart Bakery, where the kids get to learn about how they make bread, decorate cake, and they could even decorate their own cupcake and eat it afterwards.
