Camping at Chain O Lakes

We went camping with my parents the first weekend of August. It was Ella’s first camping trip and it has been awhile for Ean.

We enjoyed the nice break in the hot temperatures and it was a nice weekend. The hardest part was keeping Ella from playing around the fire at night, but we all had a great time with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Steve.

Here are some pictures of the weekend:

Summer Vacation 2010

After a long drive home on Friday, we are back after our summer vacation in Big Canoe, Georgia. We met with the Florida family members in the resort and had several days of swimming, boating, and eating plenty of food.

The place that we stayed in was a tree topper cabin that was just right for us in size. We enjoyed the scenery, the animals (we saw plenty of wild deer and a variety of birds), and time with each other. The resort was really nice, if not a bit expensive – $6 per person per day worth of swimming and almost everything you could do you pay for.

In hindsight, I guess I should have gotten pictures of everyone, but the cameras just never came out when we were all together.

Ella playing on the beach

Ella enjoyed the beach. Here is a quick video that shows her playing in the sand.

Squeaker

Ean found a cool new friend when we were in Sea World. He is the smaller dolphin in the group.

Vacation Pictures – Vacation 2009

Now back in Indiana, I’m missing the beach, sun, and heat already.

Here are some photos, slide, and link back to the full album of our memories in Cocoa Beach.

Feeding the Dolphins

April and Ean had a chance to feed the Dolphin when we were at sea world.

Sea World – Vacation 2009

We didn’t think we were going to make it to Sea World on this trip after we started looking at the prices. Then we found some 50% off coupons at the condo where we were staying at.

The 4 McIntosh Apples all headed over there on Saturday for a very hot and sweaty day.

The kids all enjoyed the shows as well as the exhibits, especially the dolphin show with the aerial acrobatics and Macaws. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any video or pictures of the dolphin show because we were too engrossed in the show. April and Ean went and fed the dolphins as well although Ean got splashed in the face and wasn’t happy after that.

Here are some pictures, a slideshow of photos, and a link to the photo album.

Ean and his shells

Here is a quick video of Ean on the beach collecting shells in his bucket.

Downtown Disney – Vacation 2009

The family went down to Downtown Disney one day last week to hit the Lego Imagination Center and let Ean go shopping. My Dad came down and joined us for the afternoon.

We ended up eating lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, which Ean did not like in a previous visit to the Nashville one. After several long minutes, we convinced him to sit down and at least try it. We made it through the meal.

Here are a few photographs from the afternoon as well as the slide show and link to the photo album.

Some condo shots

Here are some shots of the condo. Sorry they are my phone shots but I will upload the cameras photos when we get home.

The dolls are kinda creepy but I just ignore them.

EDIT: sorry for the title misspelling
