Ean’s Party from Ella’s point of view
Ella helped us out at Ean’s party on Saturday by helping to record things from her point of view. It is a bit wobbly and there are many fingers in the way, but it is fun to watch.

Yesterday, we held Ean’s 6th Birthday party that April had made plans and prepared for over a month. It was our first party with kids other than family members. We think the kids all enjoyed themselves throughout the party. In all actuality, the only person we had any issues with was Ean. He was only about opening his gifts and playing with them, he could care less about his friends once the gifts were opened.
However, all of the other kids all had a good time playing and it appeared that they enjoyed themselves.
Here are some pictures and videos of the party party below:

As I posted on Facebook the other day, I totally messed up recording Ean’s school program.
April couldn’t see Ean where she was recording, so she handed me the camcorder with the assumption that she had turned it off. I lined it up with Ean in the picture, but then promptly turned it off.
Use your imagination on how it would have looked, if I recorded the whole thing.
My little boy is growing up. He turns six today and it only seems like yesterday that he came into my life. He has taught me more about living life than any other person. I enjoy watching him as he works through issues and the pure joy that he has when he completes something on his own without any help. I see a bit of myself in him, when he gets frustrated at not being able to figure out something.
I love watching him use his imagination as he comes up with the some of the grandest ideas that no one else around him would have come up with. We have done everything in our power to allow his imagination to flourish including April making him costumes or just letting him play for hours on end.
He can only be a kid once and I want him to enjoy it. So, happy birthday, Ean! I hope you enjoy it, plus many more.
We wanted to wish you happy and safe Halloween.
We actually did our visiting and trick or treating on Friday and Saturday night. Since we are trying to keep the kids on a schedule, we wanted to stay home after 8.

Ean and I went up to Digital Comic Book Service (DCBS) on Saturday for an annual event called 24 Hour Comic Day. The purpose of the event is to share a love of comics and produce a 24 page comic in 24 hours. Penciled, inked, colored, and lettered. It is a very tough challenge and not everyone completes it.
I went knowing that we would probably not even make 1 or 2 hours, however I wanted Ean to experience the feeling of how to make a comic book. At first Ean was complaining that no one was talking to him, although I tried to explain that they were all working on their own comics. Then he didn’t want to draw anything, he wanted to tell me what to draw. So we started off that way until he figured out that he didn’t like my drawings as I wasn’t drawing them the way that he wanted so he took over, which was the whole point of us going.
Below is the comic book that he created.
Here is a short video that April recorded a few weeks ago of Ella and Ean at Grandma’s House:
Ella doesn’t sing “Happy Birthday” she always sings “Happy Day!”
We can’t wait until Ean’s birthday to see what she does then.
I thought you might enjoy seeing some of Ean’s school work that he has done recently. His writing has improved tremendously, some might say he even writes better than me now.
The picture of Street Fair is when he was playing the gold fish game and he won a gold fish.
Today was family photo day. We dressed in our finest clothes and headed off to the photo studio. We crossed our fingers in hope the kids would smile their best.
Below you will see some of the results.

This week is a busy time of year for the town of Bluffton. The Carnies come to town and turn downtown Bluffton into a giant fair. The smells of Greasy food, the screaming teens, and sounds of the carnies yelling at you to play their games.
I’m posting three video clips from the Industrial parade. One of Mike’s limo business entry, with Ean walking, one of the girls watching the parade and one of my work’s first entry into the parade.
Enjoy!
