Field Trip to the Library

Ean got a chance to go the Wells County Library during L week at pre-school. The kids got read some stories and watched a small movie. They were all impressed with the star ceiling as the lights went down.

The kids also got a tour of the library and saw all the cool things that Ean could do “if” we lived in the Wells County. We are about a half mile from the county line.

Too bad, the library was a pretty good one.

Carly Comes to Visit

Becky and Christy came to visit the other day to let Carly and Ella have a play date. Both girls loved playing once they warmed up to each other.

All of the girls had a good time visiting and chatting. It had been a long time for all of them getting together. We are hoping to make a visit up to Carly’s house once the weather starts getting nice.

Yo Gabba Gabba Live!

The kids went to their first “Rock Concert” yesterday. The Yo Gabba Gabba gang came into Fort Wayne for a party in our city. Never heard of Yo Gabbba Gabba? Check out this wikipedia link then: Yo Gabba Gabba wikipedia entry.

Ean, who normally is frightened to death of people dressed in costumes, actually enjoyed himself very much. There was one scene when the special dancey dancey person came out and it was the Tin Caps mascot that Ean absolutely started getting squirmy asking when he was going to leave.

Ella, on the other hand, who we thought would be dancing all over the place sat more frozen just taking everything in. After the intermission, she started warming up and doing a bit more dancing and seemed to enjoy herself more. But we got the impression that she was just thinking – “What’s going on here – These people aren’t on my TV”.

Layna and Amanda joined us as well and they both had a good time as well.

In the end, it was a very good show and we thank Mike for driving us up there in his limousine. I truly believe that older girls (April and Amanda) had the best time out of all of us as they sang and danced the whole show. I wonder how they would have been if it was Kenny Chesney up there.

Anyways, here are some photos of the event and the complete album of pictures as well.

We love spring

The thermostat almost cracked 70 degrees yesterday. So while April and Steve worked on the living room, I toon the kids outside.

Ah they love playing and it was hard to get them back after seven when all of tummy were growling.

Here are a couple photos as we ran around in the backyard.

Bailey’s Birthday Party

Today we went to Bailey 5th birthday party at the Huntington Skating Rink. Bailey is the son of Whitney, who I work with and April has played with her for softball.

I was really sure how Ean would take it as he tends to shy away from new things, however we have been trying to pump him up for it. It went rather well. Ean took to his skates immediately and we even tried a pair on Ella. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get a pair on April.

All in all it was a great party with one exception. One of the ladies dressed up in a Birthday roo costume. Ean had the fear in his eyes, but as long as stayed across the rink from here he was alright. Ella, on the other hand, loved the costumed lady and went right up to her to get her picture taken.

Thanks Whitney and Bailey for the invitation!

**Sorry for some of blurry pics. Moving kids and dark lights don’t make great pictures.**

Ella’s first haircut

It’s been two years since Ella was born and a pair of scissors has not touched her head. That is until today. Today was her first haircut. It was not a walk in the park. She wanted to fight the fight and not get her haircut. Once she got a paper and could write on it, she settled down for a bit and allowed Tosha to finish up.

She looks so cute with her bangs.

Valentines Day Party

I know that I’m several weeks late, but April attended Ean’s preschool party for Valentines day. The kids had a blast playing games and eating cupcakes and cookies. They played with a parachute and silly races. Great fun by all!

Here is some pictures and a couple of video clips to show for you.

Pizza Day Field Trip

Back in January, Ean’s preschool went to East of Chicago and made their own personal pan pizzas. The kids absolutely loved getting their hands dirty and decorating their own pizzas with sausage, pepperoni, and cheese.

Check out the pictures below for Ean and his friends.

New Beds for the Kids

Now that Ella turned two, it was time to move her from the crib and crib matress into a big girl bed.

While we were discussing Ella’s bed, we wanted to move Ean out of his race car bed and into just the matress. This would free up alot of space in his room for the massive amounts of toys he owns.

Both changes took effect today and both kids are excited about the changes. Now, I hope that they will both stay in them tonight.
