So as most of you may know Friday was my 40th birthday. Yes, I feel old at times, but I don’t think I’m falling apart anytime soon. I want to thank everyone for the cards, well-wishes, as well as the gifts.

I did however get a very nice gift for my birthday that is out of the ordinary. It was Star Wars pancake molds. April and I attempted to make good pancakes until we discovered that we really needed cooking spray to keep the pancakes from sticking.

Yesterday, Ean was invited to Isabel’s birthday party. Isabel is in Ean’s preschool class.

Just a short history – Isabel was the first girl that Ean asked to marry him. She told him no and Ean has since moved on. Now they are just friends.

Ean was pretty excited to go to the party and when he got there, he was the only boy there so he was in heaven. Even though Ean and Isabel claim that Kline was invited as well, he was unable to make it.

We are winding down from Ella’s birthday party. Ella is down for her nap and we are in the processing of cleaning up.

Ella did better than expected after a shakey start with no nap. She enjoyed opening her presents, but took her sweet time reviewing everything that she opened.

Our little baby is turning two today. We can’t believe it has happened so fast. Next step, she brings home her first boyfriend.

April turned the Big 3-0 on Saturday. For a surprise, without her knowing, I took her up to the Southwest side of Chicago. She had a a night of shopping, a great dinner, a late viewing of “New Moon” and an all day shopping visit to Ikea (one of April’s favorite stores).

We stayed at the Aloft hotels in Boling Brook, IL and it is a very neat hotel. Our room looked like it was furnished by Ikea so it had some interesting furniture and a comforter that I wanted to take home.

We didn’t take alot of pictures, so there aren’t alot and some of them were from my iphone.

Happy Birthday, sweetie and I hope you had a great weekend! Wish it could have been longer.

Although Ean had his party last weekend, Thursday was his actual birthday.

He got his last set of presents from grandparents and us.

Ean still wants to thank everyone for everything. He has played with almost everything so far that we have opened up for him.

Although, we were four days early, today was Ean’s birthday party. He had plenty of visitors including several aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.  Ean wanted to have a Star Wars Lego cake and so he got one. He also received several new Lego sets, a leapster Tag reader with some books, some nice new clothes, a new transformer and several other fun things.

Ean really appreciates everyone that stopped by to wish him a Happy Birthday as do his parents.
