Red’s Game

It has been a busy summer for us so far. Lot’s of activity and things that we are fortunate to have a chance to do. My work had a raffle for a new program being started and the bank that is in my warehouse donated some Cincinnati Reds tickets. One of the supervisors won the tickets was unable to go so I bought the tickets off of her for $10. Not a bad price considering that the parking alone was $15 if we would have paid.

Other than it being really hot, the day was filled with fun and enjoyment and we are glad we had a chance to go. Ean just finishing up T-ball for his first was interested for awhile and really enjoyed that peanuts. I don’t think the folks sitting around us enjoyed Ean enjoying the peanuts though.

Here are some photos of the day and a short video clip that I took on our little camera.

McIntosh Garden Update

We planted our garden plants this morning. We put Bell Peppers, Big Boy Tomatoes, Cucumbers, JalapeƱos, Banana Peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes. Now the waiting begins to enjoy our vegetables.

Christmas 2009 Photos

Well, our Christmas holiday is wrapping up and we are working on retiring the old stuff (clothes and toys) and moving the new toys/clothes into the rotation.

Other than the snowy and cold weather, our holiday was a good one. Ella wanted nothing to do with unwrapping presents, but loved pulling socks from the stockings. Ean, on the other hand, loves opening presents so much so that he was unwrapping his presents and not waiting for anyone to watch him.

We still owe a couple of gifts and should get them out hopefully by the beginning of the new year.

I hope everyone had a great holiday as well.

Merry Christmas from the 4 McIntosh Apples

While there is not a creature stirring in the house, we wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe holidays!

Good food

It’s funny – the kids never eat all of their food in one sitting. However, we discovered a place that the kids not only eat at all of their food, but they ask for seconds. Sakura’s japanese restaurant, which was previously a date night eatery, has been put on the lunch rotation. It has also been placed on one of the Fort Wayne favorites.

Vacation Pictures – Vacation 2009

Now back in Indiana, I’m missing the beach, sun, and heat already.

Here are some photos, slide, and link back to the full album of our memories in Cocoa Beach.

Downtown Disney – Vacation 2009

The family went down to Downtown Disney one day last week to hit the Lego Imagination Center and let Ean go shopping. My Dad came down and joined us for the afternoon.

We ended up eating lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, which Ean did not like in a previous visit to the Nashville one. After several long minutes, we convinced him to sit down and at least try it. We made it through the meal.

Here are a few photographs from the afternoon as well as the slide show and link to the photo album.

Indiana did not want us to leave

Indiana did it’s best to try and keep us here. However, we finally escaped it’s clutches and headed towards Florida.

We left about four hours late because they completely shutdown the airport due to lightning in the area. There was a strike right outside the window where we were sitting that scared everyone sitting close to the window.

Once in the air, the ride was not all smooth. We had plenty of bumps and a couple of good drops.

I have included a screenshot of the weather radar and the kids alseep in the air. (notice the fear in April’s face the background)

EDIT: Grammar and spelling mistakes fixed.

Hanging out in the airport

We are hanging out at airport waiting to start boarding. So far not too bad, other than Ella’s hungry meltdown.

Here are some pictures of us waiting:

Gearing up for Vacation

Conversions are finally complete and major to-do list items are being worked on. I finally can afford to take a two week vacations. We are heading to Florida for seven of those days, and doing stuff around the area for the other days.

Looking forward to beach, pool, beach, pool, maybe the beach, and then the pool again. Oh yeah, we might eat some and take a trip to Sea World during that time too.

Lots of pictures to come in the next couple of weeks.
